This is one ride you won't want to miss! Willamette Valley Soaring Club has donated a glider ride for 1. This ride will be in one of their two-place sailplanes is a flying experience like no other. Sustained aloft with rising thermals generated by the sun, a sailplane offers the purest form of flying. Lifted to altitude behind a powerful tow plane, one can experience a breathtaking scene from the front seat. All the major peaks come into view; and on a clear day, one can see as far as the pacific coast. Soaring like a bird of prey, one experiences the true freedom of the skies. What one takes away from the experience is a cherished lifelong memory and an understanding of how magnificent flying can be. Many are left with the realization that they must come back and soar with us again.
