Set on rolling, tree-lined terrain in suburban St. Louis, Westwood Country Club is one of the most respected private clubs in Missouri - long counted among the area's elite "big four" alongside St. Louis Country Club, Old Warson, and Bellerive. Founded in 1907 and rich with history, the championship course was designed by Harold Paddock in 1928 and has been thoughtfully refined over the decades by a series of noted architects, including William Diddel, Keith Foster, and most recently Art Schaupeter, whose 2019 renovation reimagined the bunkering and rebuilt the par-five eighth to dramatic effect. The result is a classic, demanding par-72 layout with bent-grass greens, strategic sand, mature specimen trees, and a winding creek that brings water into play across the property. Polished conditioning, a stately stone clubhouse, and a genuine sense of tradition make a guest round here a rare and memorable St. Louis golf experience.
