Pink Ribbon Army Golf Tournament & 5K
We are delighted that Pink Ribbon Army has decided to build on the success of their inaugural event in 2021 with another golf tournament and 5K benefiting Northwest Hope and Healing in 2022. This amazing community came together in October of last year to raise $35,000 for our Patient Assistance Fund. We are so grateful that they have decided to support us once again!
Kelly & Danny Vo are the co-founders of Pink Ribbon Army. After Kelly was diagnosed with breast cancer last year, they decided that they wanted to do something to make a difference for others going through this journey. So they started the Pink Ribbon Army to give back to local women with breast cancer. Their mission is to raise funds and awareness for a disease that affects so many people.
This year, their golf tournament and 5K will take place at Chambers Bay Golf Course in Tacoma on Sunday, October 9th, as the final day of our Weekend of Wellness. All proceeds from the event will go to Northwest Hope and Healing.
Go The Extra Mile-Athon!
Northwest Hope and Healing's mission is to go the extra mile for women in need. We provide grants to help breast and gynecologic cancer patients get through treatment. These grants pay for expenses that are not covered by traditional health care - groceries, gas, child care, rent, utilities, and anything else.
Darrin Maddux and his wife Michelle are going the extra mile for Northwest Hope and Healing. As a survivor herself, Michelle saw firsthand how expensive cancer can be and not just the treatment. She and her husband organized an inaugural bikeathon in October of 2020 and thanks to the support of their colleagues and a generous double match from their employer - Edrington - they raised $15,000 for local women in need. In 2021, this campaign raised an astounding $25,000. With your help, we can raise even more in 2022!
