Virtual VIP Networking Reception
November 6 at 2 PM ET

Don't miss this celebration of SIM's ongoing legacy of philanthropy in STEM. This year's virtual event will bring together more than 500 SIM members to raise funds in support of FIRST and other local Chapter give back initiatives. You'll also hear from a compelling lineup of speakers on matters of topical interest.

Giveback Week

SIM's National Giveback Week is an opportunity for our chapter's to support nonprofits in their local communities.  Through SIM's collective giving, we are able to exponentially increase our impact.  SIM's Giveback week is scheduled from November 2 - November 7th, 2020.  Our nonprofit partners need our support right now, more than ever, and there are so many ways to engage our members - mentoring, volunteering, fundraising, hosting a job shadowing day - the possibilities are endless.

Questions on the Giveback campaign can be directed to Nanci Schimizzi or Cindy McKenzie.

Thank You to Our Participating Chapters!

SIM Foundation Names FIRST National Alliance Partner and Beneficiary

FIRST and SIM Foundation have executed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on support for FIRST's programs across the country.

SIM Foundation and FIRST share a common goal of promoting science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education to students, including girls and underrepresented groups, aged 4-18 years. It is our intent to engage SIM members across the nation as Mentors, Coaches, Volunteers, Fundraisers or other roles in FIRST programs for the combined benefit of both organizations.

COVID Impact Statement

FIRST Programs continue to positively impact youth of all genders, races, economic circumstances. During the pandemic, our teams have used their FIRST built skills to serve their communities.

Limited school reopenings and restricted in-person events hurt our finances even more going forward than the avalanche of shutdowns did last spring.  We're working furiously to enable remote competition and provide activity for teams & youth to engage with at home. Support from SIM members helps not just to keep the lights on, but also to develop additional content and activity that can be accessed by our community while in restricted circumstances.
