SIM Foundation Names FIRST National Alliance Partner and Beneficiary
FIRST and SIM Foundation have executed a Memorandum of Understanding to collaborate on support for FIRST's programs across the country.
SIM Foundation and FIRST share a common goal of promoting science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education to students, including girls and underrepresented groups, aged 4-18 years. It is our intent to engage SIM members across the nation as Mentors, Coaches, Volunteers, Fundraisers or other roles in FIRST programs for the combined benefit of both organizations.
COVID Impact Statement
FIRST Programs continue to positively impact youth of all genders, races, economic circumstances. During the pandemic, our teams have used their FIRST built skills to serve their communities.
Limited school reopenings and restricted in-person events hurt our finances even more going forward than the avalanche of shutdowns did last spring. We're working furiously to enable remote competition and provide activity for teams & youth to engage with at home. Support from SIM members helps not just to keep the lights on, but also to develop additional content and activity that can be accessed by our community while in restricted circumstances.
