2026 Honorees - Kevin and Kathleen Kelly

Tall Timbers is proud to recognize Kevin and Kathleen Kelly as the honorees of the 29th Annual Kate Ireland Dinner & Auction. Kevin and Kathleen's dedication to Tall Timbers' mission has endured for many years, expanding interest as quail ambassadors far beyond the Red Hills region. Since founding Kevin's Fine Outdoor Gear & Apparel in 1978, the Kellys have become influential leaders in the sporting world. Through their stores, Kevin's Catalog, the annual Kevin's Southern Game Fair, and their countless relationships across the outdoor industry, they have built a community rooted in hunting traditions, land stewardship and fellowship. Their passion for the outdoors has connected sportsmen and women from across the country while helping to elevate the values that define the sporting life.

As dedicated supporters of Tall Timbers, the Kellys have worked tirelessly to ensure that future generations understand the importance of stewardship and outdoor heritage. They have also raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for Tall Timbers by hosting Kevin's Annual Southern Game Fair. Today, their impact continues through their daughter, Anna, whose involvement in the family business reflects the same dedication to conservation, community and tradition.

Kevin and Kathleen's devotion to Tall Timbers, conservation, and the sporting community has left a lasting impact, and we are proud to celebrate their remarkable contributions.

The Cause

The Kate Ireland Dinner & Auction is named in honor of one of Tall Timbers' most treasured supporters, Miss Kate Ireland. It is a fundraising event held annually on the lawn to benefit Tall Timbers Foundation, which supports Tall Timbers' research and conservation programs. Miss Kate, know for her organizational, fundraising, and people skills, led the effort to preserve the Red Hills region as a member of the Red Hills Consortium in the late 1980's.

She became chair of the Red Hills Conservation Association in 1990. The Red Hills Conservation Association was later merged into a division of Tall Timbers as the Red Hills Conservation Program. It is now known as the Tall Timbers Land Conservancy. Miss Kate would go on to lead Tall Timbers as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees from 1999-2006.
