Dinner in the Woods 2026
Connection is Everything

SATURDAY, MAY 2, 2026

IslandWood was founded to provide meaningful opportunities for children attending under-resourced schools to connect with the natural world - and with the place where they live. To connect with each other. With new ideas and perspectives. With their communities. And ultimately, with themselves: their sense of confidence, belonging, and possibility.

Without connection, so much is lost. But with connection, possibility expands - for our children, for one another, for our communities, and for the planet. Connection is everything.

Thanks to your connection with IslandWood, this school year we'll impact more children and educators than we ever have, even as Washington State eliminated funding for outdoor education.

There is much to celebrate at Dinner in the Woods. And there is still important work ahead, at a time when an entire generation needs connection more than ever. Join us May 2 to help every child feel their own spark of belonging, wonder, and possibility!
