ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Camp FRIENDship is a day camp designed to help children with autism spectrum disorders and similar social skills deficits acquire social skills within a positive, safe and fun learning environment. Typically developing peers are incorporated into camp programming to increase social opportunities across camp groups. For the 2nd year, Camp FRIENDship will be held at the Chicago Therapeutic School location June 27 through July 1, 2016.

The student should be interested in working with people with disabilities but are not required to have any experience. He or she will assist the counselors and assistant counselors in supporting the needs of all campers. Camp activities will include social skills instruction, large group games, art, cooking, science and more.
