I first got involved with the Alzheimer's Association - North Central Texas Chapter more than a decade ago when friends had family members with Alzheimer's. I learned about the great support that the association provides to families. Later, the disease hit home affecting my mother-in-law and my best friend. Over the past 10 years I've had the opportunity to emcee the Alzheimer's Ablaze gala, and I've gotten a chance to meet some of the dedicated doctors conducting Alzheimer's research. ABLAZE has become one of my favorite events and I love doing my small part to help raise money that is so helpful in our community.

I am so honored to be serving as Committee Chair for this year's Alzheimer's Association Ablaze Event - Igniting Passion For A Cure. We will be hosting this year's event at The Bowie House in Ft Worth on April 12, 2024. Please join us in fighting for a cure.

We all know someone that is suffering from some sort of Alzheimer's disease or dementia.  I can attest to the fact that this disease shows no mercy with whom it affects and how life changing it can be for the whole family.  My father passed away from Alzheimer's three years ago and he will always be a guiding light to steer me and my family towards a cure. I see the effects of Alzheimer's everyday as I work with seniors in the field of Home Care. It is heartbreaking to see memories of our loved ones, that were once there, just disappear. 

We must do all we can to find a cure, this is such a senseless and cruel disease.

Let's all work together and Ignite Our Passion For A Cure.
