"I'm Going to College" Fund: Sequoyah Values in Action
Item #30 College Counseling Program Fund

Two years ago, a graduating senior's family established a fund to address inequities in the college admissions process by giving $10,000 to Sequoyah's college counseling program. They did so because their child had raised questions at home about his own socio-economic advantages.

As a result, this fund is designed to directly support those Sequoyah students and their families who face the challenge of various college application processes and admissions expenses, such as travel, that they cannot afford. Tax-deductible contributions to the fund provide direct financial support not otherwise available from the prospective college or a student's family resources. The college counseling fund is administered by the Director of College Counseling and with the approval of the High School Director.

Funds need to be replenished each year. Its ongoing success is dependent on our Stewardship, Perspective, and Collaboration. Please consider a donation.

Golden Ticket Raffle

Help support Sequoyah School and purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win any item in the entire auction catalogue! 

Tickets are: 1 for $75 - 4 for $250 - 10 for $500

Tickets are on sale now through the night of auction in person only and are available upon request. Tickets can be purchased at the 500 S. Pasadena offices, in person at campus events, or by emailing [email protected] for more information. Come see us on campus. A winner will be chosen the night of auction. Make sure you tell us where you will be when we pull your ticket!

Rules and Information

Auction bidding opens on Sunday, May 5 at 6:00 p.m. and closes on Saturday, May 11 at 10:00 p.m. All bidding is online, except for one item which will have a bid sheet. Payment is due in full following notice of the winning bid. All sales are AS-IS, final. Sorry, there are no exchanges or refunds. Arrangements for redemption should be made directly with the donor as soon as possible. Expiration dates and limitations, restrictions or exceptions are listed on the item gift certificate. Item pick-up is Sunday, May 12, 12:00-3:00 p.m. at Sequoyah School K-8 campus.


Travel and Leisure

All dates and restrictions apply. When considering bidding on items involving travel and vacation stays please note the dates and restrictions stated by the donor are firm, and not to be further negotiated upon purchase. Donors who are generously offering stays in private homes typically indicate guidelines specific to the residence that should be adhered to. In general please know donors are expecting to set arrangements with purchasers well in advance of vacation stays. During the vacation stay donors are not expected to be available to assist with travel logistics or housekeeping details, or to be on call except in emergencies.
