A Walk On Water is back in Montauk! Join us on Saturday, September 9th for the annual fundraiser party hosted at Montauk Beach House! The evening will include silent + live auction lots, a live DJ, and as always, incredible storytelling about the power of AWOW!

A Walk On Water ("AWOW") provides Surf Therapy to children with special needs or disability. The ocean's transformative properties empower our participants, who enjoy a much-deserved day of laughter, love, and acceptance alongside their family. For one perfect, restorative day at the beach, there are no labels. Everyone is an Athlete.

Every September, AWOW returns to Montauk for its annual fundraiser and two-day surf therapy event. These days hold immeasurable significance for the families we serve and are the cornerstone of our efforts to raise money for the coming year, generating crucial funds for AWOW through donations and auction bids. Every dollar raised directly supports our surf therapy events for individuals with special needs.

Since its inception in August 2012, AWOW has served over 1,000 families, providing surf therapy to more than 2,500 children and adults at events along the East and West coasts. Our mission extends to those who have never had the opportunity to experience the benefits of surf therapy. We are committed to delivering the best, safest, most rewarding, and most transformative experience to athletes and their families.

The respite that the athletes and their families experience during these days of surf therapy is palpable, inspiring, but also deeply rewarding for all who bear witness. The ripple effect is felt way beyond the athletes and their families, but also by all the volunteers, event vendors, and even bystanders on the beach.
