  • One 750ml bottle of 2019 Pope Valley Winery Cabernet Sauvignon

  • One 750ml bottle of 2022 Pope Valley Winery Reserve Sauvignon Blanc

The Pope Valley Winery was founded in 1897 by Ed Haus as Burgundy Winery & Olive Oil Factory. A century later in 1997, the Eakle family purchased the historic winery and gave it a new life as Pope Valley Winery. In 2009 the next generation of Eakles stepped in to continue building and furthering the family's vision for Pope Valley Winery as a fine winemaking establishment. Currently siblings David Eakle, winemaker, and Diana Eakle Hawkins, general manager, are making great strides in bringing Pope Valley Winery to the next level.

2018 CABERNET SAUVIGNON
90 Points ~ Wine Enthusiast "Fresh aromas of juniper and sage unfold to smoked jerky and cassis; the palate is dark and juicy supported by fresh cigar and toffee flavors; followed by dusty cocoa powder & tight structure on a clean, focused finish."

2019 CABERNET SAUVIGNON
93 Points ~ Decanter "This estate wine is barrel-fermented and aged 24 months in 40% new French oak. Soft and silky black cherry, chocolate and baking spices buoyed by elongated tannins. The warm alcohol is balanced by vibrant fruit and lifted savoury sagebrush tones from nearby mountain garrigue."

2022 RESERVE SAUVIGNON BLANC:
93 Points ~ Wine Advocate "The 2022 Sauvignon Blanc 1897 Reserve features fully ripe aromas of melons and figs on the nose, while the medium to full-bodied palate is round, lush and expansive but with sufficient acid to hold the wine together on the long, harmonious finish. Nicely done."
