The Estate History...
According to local lore, the estate house and barn were built circa 1890 by a prominent businessman for his mistress. The property was subsequently the home of a Russian princess, a prune and walnut orchard, a camellia nursery and a Christmas tree farm. In many ways, this history shapes the overall identity of Boeschen Vineyards; their approach is Old-World, with the wines reflecting a classic structure and tradition.

The Garden...
The Boeschen Vineyards gardens present a magical opportunity to step back in time. Master Gardener Susan has redesigned the grounds to create the feel of a garden that might have been planted at the time the house was built, in the late 1800's, and has saved the old plantings and trees whenever possible. The gardens have something of fragrance in bloom at all times, and the structures of that original era have been incorporated throughout the estate.

The Car Collection...
Dann has long been a German sports car fan, and now, after a decade of vintage racing, his collection is on display in the car barn. Included are a 1955 Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing, known by the French as a Papillon for its "Butterfly" doors; a 1956 Porsche Speedster, returned to street trim after its racing career; and a 1959 Porsche sunroof coupe, restored from bare metal to factory new condition. Displayed with a 1966 Porsche 906 are original photos from its 50-year racing history.
