ABOUT THE GOLF SHOOTOUT AT ALAQUA, A DUKE OF EDINBURGH CUP QUALIFIER:

Join us on Friday, April 5, 2024 for the Blessings in a Backpack Golf Shootout at Alaqua - an exclusive day of golf and fun as we raise money to feed Central Florida kids on the weekends. This year, for the first time in the United States, the Golf Shootout at Alaqua is a Duke of Edinburgh Cup qualifier.

FORMAT

Stableford Format - The top two finishers qualify for the Duke of Edinburgh Cup World Finals to be held in the UK. *Players must have a USGA handicap to qualify for the Duke of Edinburgh Cup.

9:00 Shotgun Start

Shootout Finals following completion of play

ABOUT SHOOTOUT FINALS

Shootout finalists hit two shots from the selected yardage. Closest shot wins a prize TBD.

9 players advance to the Shootout Finals:

5 Par 3 closest-to-the-pin winners
Longest Drive winner
Chipping Contest Winner
1 spot to be auctioned at Awards Banquet
1 spot to be given by drawing

*The top two finishers by Stableford format win trophies and will be invited to attend the Duke of Edinburgh Cup World Finals in England. The closest shot in the Shootout Finals wins a prize TBD.*

ABOUT BLESSINGS IN A BACKPACK

In the Orlando area, nearly 40,000 kids are at risk of going hungry this weekend. These kids rely on their school's free meal program to provide the nourishment they need to learn and grow. What happens to these kids when schools close on Fridays? Who will feed the kids this weekend? Together, we will!
