AFSSA Gala

As the Co-Chairs of this year's Silk Road Gala, we are honored to support Asian Family Support Services of Austin (AFSSA) in their mission to educate, advocate for, and empower Asian and immigrant communities and survivors of gender-based violence.

Asians in Austin are the fastest-growing demographic group, doubling roughly every 12 years. And our Asian community is highly diverse, as home not only to larger Asian immigrant populations but also to emerging refugee populations from Nepal, Burma, Cambodia, and Laos. In 2022, AFSSA served 237 clients in 32 languages and answered 890 hotline calls.

We would like to ask for you to join us in support of an organization that does so much to support our community during AFSSA's signature annual fundraising event, the Silk Road Gala. The Silk Road was a network connecting multitudes -- a cross-continental demonstration of the vast power and eternal influence of all that is possible when people come together with the determination to go the distance.
