Join us for the 2024 Pink & Teal Challenge!  

SATURDAY, MAY 11th at Monroe Community College

5k Run: 9:30 am. Walk: 9:45 am. (Option: 3.1 or 2 mile shortcut!).  CHILDREN 5 and Under are FREE and do not need to be registered!  Humans only. Sorry, no pets! 

Any runner registering between May 8th-10th will have to wait 24 hours after registering to receive their chipped bib.  

Virtual participants: You may complete your event anytime between 5 pm on Friday, May 10th and midnight on Sunday, May 12th.

VIRTUAL 5k Run participants' times will not be considered for their specific age brackets as we are unable to corroborate time and distance. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and will gladly switch your registration to the in-person 5k by request. 

*The winner of each of the following Age Groups will receive a Rochester Running Company Gift Certificate and "Bragging Rights": 

5-15 years, 16 - 25 years, 26 - 35 years, 36 - 45 years, 46 - 55 years, 56 - 65, and 65+ 

NOTE: The Overall Winner takes the place of the 1st person in their age group. Age Groups are subject to change based on registration numbers.

You can pick up your Event Packet (includes t-shirt) prior to the Pink & Teal Challenge!

What to do if your donors wish to contribute via check :

1. You can collect the checks and drop them off at our office, or mail them to the Coalition with a note that clearly states the donations are for the Pink & Teal Challenge, specifically sponsoring YOU. (just an fyi: if you were interested in raising money to win some prizes please know that only individual fundraisers win prizes, not entire teams).

2. You can ask your donors to drop off or mail their check into the Coalition with a note clearly stating that it's for the Pink & Teal Challenge and to sponsor YOU (have them include your full name)!

Is the in-person event really on SATURDAY? Did I read that right?

Yes, your eyes have not deceived you! The in-person portion of the 2024 Pink & Teal Challenge will take place at Monroe Community College on SATURDAY, May 11th. We took a survey of our past participants, and the results indicated that people prefer the event being on Saturday.

Why are you offering a virtual walk and run?

The Breast Cancer Coalition never hesitated to offer a virtual option for the 2024 Pink & Teal Challenge. We recognize that there are several reasons our supporters may want to participate virtually: to avoid large gatherings, to complete their event on their own time schedule, to participate in their event at any geographic location, to support the Coalition even after having moved out of the area, and more!

Virtual participants may complete their event anytime between 5 pm on Friday, May 10th and midnight on Sunday, May 12th.

Can I register for the in-person event on event day (Saturday, May 11th)?

There will be NO registration on event day (Saturday, May 11th). To participate at the Pink & Teal Challenge, you MUST register prior. We recognize that this is a change from past years, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. This decision was made to enhance the experience of the participants and the volunteers - Primarily, no long lines!

How do I fundraise for the Breast Cancer Coalition? 

It's really easy to do!  

1. Go to the home page and look for the heading "Become a Fundraiser"
2. Click the "Set Up You Page" button.  
3. Fill out your information. Customize your story, photo, goal, headline and so on!

 

I want to fundraise, but I don't know where to start. What should I do first?

You've come to the right place! We have a  Fundraising Toolkit ready for you, complete with tips for getting started, helpful hints, graphics, & captions - everything you need to get your fundraising started!  It's located on the homepage under "Fundraising Tool Kit."

What awards will be given out on event day?

BRAGGING RIGHTS and a small token for participants in the IN-PERSON Pink & Teal Challenge 5k Run are as follows:
