Rare patina bronze sculpture of a magnolia flower by Frank Fleming (Alabama/American, 1940-2018), who is known for creating the whimsical fountain in 5 Points South and fantastical sculptures at Aldridge Gardens. This unique sculpture with a rich green patina captures the magnolia flower in full bloom. Fleming primarily worked with bronze, a material that allowed him to capture the fine details of his subjects while also ensuring the longevity of his sculptures. Other works of the artist can be found in Southern museum collections such as the Birmingham Museum of Art, New Orleans Museum of Art, Ogden Museum of Southern Art (New Orleans, LA), and Tennessee State Museum (Nashville, TN).

This is a signed sculpture; see Frank Fleming's signature on leaf in attached photo.
