Important Message from MMA Southeast CEO, Peter Krause, regarding the 2023 MMA Charity Classic events

This year will mark the  19th anniversary for the MMA Charity Classic benefiting the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation Butterfly Fund.

MMA Southeast region has been hosting the Charity Classic since 2004 to benefit the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and has raised close to $4 million towards the Butterfly Fund.

We have had tremendous success with both the virtual fundraising and Cocktails and Cornhole and look forward to the 2023 events. These events make up the MMA Charity Classic and are the single largest revenue-producing event for the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.

The proceeds from the MMA Charity Classic go to the PBTF  Butterfly Fund - which provides financial assistance to families of the children in treatment at partnering medical facilities. The Butterfly Fund is PBTF's emergency financial assistance program for families at 19 partnering institutions across the country, providing support for household bills, gas and grocery cards, counseling services and out-of-pocket expenses.

The need to act is more urgent than ever before.  Pediatric brain cancer trends are moving in the opposite direction of those for adults - as pediatric cancer does not receive the same level of attention, research or financial commitment.   PBTF has a plan to reverse these trends, but can't do it alone. 

Now more than ever, we are asking for your support for the precious children and their families who are fighting deadly brain and spinal cord tumors.  Please consider being a sponsor for the Butterfly Fund in 2023.   Go to www.mma-pbtfcharityclassic for sponsorship information. If you are unable to sponsor, please attend our fundraising event and bid on some great auction items or make a donation.

We are  hosting a virtual fundraising event on Wednesday, September 27th and a Cocktails and Cornhole event on Tuesday, October 24th, 2023.

We need you to participate in both events - especially the fundraising virtual event.

• Virtual Fundraising event and online auction will take place on September 27, 2023, 4:00 pm.
• MMA Charity Classic Cocktails & Cornhole will take place on October 24, 2023 in person at The Green at the Crabapple Marketplace.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I invite my business and/or personal contacts so they can participate in the auction? 

YES - please feel free to invite your business contacts, carriers, clients and personal contacts. We want to get the message out about the need to raise money for the Butterfly Fund and the mission of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. You can send them to https://MMASE23.givesmart.com to register and participate in the auction.

Will there be an option to donate cash before or after the Virtual Auction Event if I can't or don't want to bid on auction items?  

• Yes - donate any time before or after the Virtual Auction Event.

• During the Virtual Fundraising Event program on September 27, there will be an opportuning to Fund-A-Need (donations at various levels).

How do I pay for my item(s) once I win?

We require that you put a credit card on file when bidding on items for an easy, quick checkout. Any credit or debit card will work. At the end of the event on September 27, you'll receive a text to finalize your payment with credit card on file, or you can enter a different card.  If you prefer another method of payment, please contact Gina Pickett ([email protected]) to discuss. After 48 hours all credit cards will be pushed through for payment.

How do I retrieve or arrange my auction item/experience? 

We will begin mailing out certificates and shipping larger items the week after the event.
