Tucked into the canyon hills of southern Orange County, Coto de Caza Golf & Racquet Club is one of California's most sought-after private experiences and the only 36-hole private country club of its kind in the region. Both championship courses were designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. - son of Robert Trent Jones Sr. and one of golf's most prolific modern architects, with credits including Chambers Bay, Poppy Hills, and The Links at Spanish Bay. The North Course, opened in 1987 and stretching to 7,228 yards, is widely regarded as one of the finest tests in Orange County, opening with a signature 601-yard par 5 that plays over a barranca toward a narrow green framed by Mt. Trabuco. The shorter, tighter South Course (1995) winds quietly through the Coto canyon with each hole revealed in turn, rewarding precision and short-game finesse over raw distance. Mature oak woodlands, dramatic elevation changes, native vegetation, and meticulously conditioned bent-grass greens give every round a polished, secluded feel that members rarely share with guests.

Coto de Caza was named a National Winner of the Urban Land Institute's "Award for Excellence" and is an Audubon International Certified Cooperative Sanctuary.
