2023 Best Buddies Miami Gala & Champion of the Year

The 25th Annual Best Buddies Miami Gala and Champion of the Year is a spectacular and impactful event benefitting Best Buddies' mission.

This year's Gala will honor seven-time Superbowl Champion and Best Buddies Global Ambassador, Tom Brady with Best Buddies' highest honor, the Spirit of Leadership Award.

To celebrate, three-time Grammy award-winning artist Nelly will perform! Limited to 850 guests, including business leaders, political dignitaries, sports figures, and celebrities - Gala attendees will gather to support and celebrate Best Buddies' mission and Tom Brady with a gourmet dinner, dazzling entertainment, and a top-notch auction.

The auction will feature various items, including once-in-a-lifetime opportunities, fine art, exclusive vacations, and sporting events.

Proceeds from the event will go directly to Best Buddies' mission of creating friendships, jobs, leadership development, and inclusive living opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Best Buddies Champion of the Year is a competitive fundraising campaign that unites and recognizes leaders of inclusion in local communities nationwide. Champion Candidates commit to raising funds and awareness for Best Buddies throughout their campaign. Our Champions advocate for the Best Buddies mission and will generate countless opportunities for friendships, jobs, and leadership development. At the Best Buddies Champion of the Year celebration, we honor the Champions' collective impact and name the ultimate Champion of the Year!

Mission

Best Buddies International is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment, leadership development, and inclusive living for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

Who We Serve

The IDD community that Best Buddies serves includes, but is not limited to, people with Down syndrome, autism, Fragile X, Williams syndrome, cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury and other undiagnosed disabilities.

Best Buddies is the world's largest organization dedicated to ending the social, physical and economic isolation of the 200 million people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Our programs empower the special abilities of people with IDD by helping them form meaningful friendships with their peers, secure successful jobs, live independently, improve public speaking, self-advocacy and communication skills, and feel valued by society.
