Communities on the Move: A World Bicycle Relief Benefit

Join World Bicycle Relief and like-minded supporters on November 9th from 6-9 PM for an elevated evening of impact. Together we will celebrate the Power of Bicycles and bring the sights, sounds, and tastes of our program countries to this special event. Enjoy a live auction, paddle raise, and entertainment while sharing your passion for mobilizing communities in need.

This year, we are thrilled to present CMMB with our 2023 Trailblazer Award, which honors those who challenge conventional thinking around the complex issues of transportation, poverty, social justice and access, while illuminating a new path forward with innovative and bold ideas that have the power to transform millions of lives.  

Special guests joining us for this exciting event include CMMB President & CEO Mary Beth Powers to accept the Trailblazer Award, and World Bicycle Relief's Senior Program Manager, Irene Thokozani Mulunjwana. Irene, based in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, has over 15 years of experience in international development, with a passion for community engagement, community building, and solving complex issues relating to poverty through integrated program design.

The evening's program will be hosted by Serial Entrepreneur, Inventor, Chef, Cyclist and Co-author of the Feedzone cookbooks, Biju Thomas! A lifelong cyclist and self-taught chef based in Boulder, Colorado, Biju is co-founder of the hydration and nutrition company SkratchLabs + Founder of Base Camp Canteen.
