Pure Surfing Experience Award and Legacy Award Honorees

Ron and Stacy Harrison Legacy Award

After an introduction through mutual friends, Ron and Stacy invited the Millers to see their home in Hermosa Beach. After hearing about the amazing ocean therapy the JMMF provided to Marines, veterans and children in the South Bay, Camp Pendleton and beyond, the Harrisons graciously offered to open their home to the first, post-Covid BeneFiesta in 2022. Their gorgeous, tiered backyard was an incredible backdrop for JMMF's successful 2022 event. The Harrison's were incomparable hosts and are proud to serve on the Honorary Host Committee for this year's BeneFiesta. In addition to the JMMF, Ron and Stacy support several charities in the South Bay and the greater Los Angeles area. Stacy Harrison is a litigation partner at Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP. She has served on the Board of Pacific Clinics, a community-based non-profit provider of behavioral and mental health services and is a current board member of the Friends of the Los Angeles County Law Library and the Jewish Graduate Students Initiative. Ron Harrison is the Vice President of Business Development for the Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drug Company. He is the past President of Temple Shalom of the South Bay. Ron and Stacy live in Hermosa Beach with their two grown children. The JMMF family is honored to recognize Stacy and Ron with JMMF's Legacy award for their contribution of opening their home and hearts for the 2022 BeneFiesta.

Robb Stroyke Pure Surfing Experience Award

Robb Stroyke is a born and bred beach local and a bit of a big man surfing legend. Like Jimmy, he began surfing at the age of 8 and has traveled the world, surfing some of the most historic surf spots. His favorite destination is Bali, where on a memorable surf trip, he, along with Jimmy, Chris Brown, and Fernando Fayzano, discovered the never to be disclosed location of Spot X. It's one of the best surf breaks in the world and a well-kept secret to this day. Robb's love of surfing and his friendship with Jimmy is eclipsed only slightly by his philanthropic heart. Robb has been a staunch supporter of the JMMF since its inception and has provided numerous auction donations (including his property in Bali and home in Montana) and countless chips, both won and lost at the 'Poker on the Beach' tables. Robb is co-founder of the boutique Bayside Real Estate Partners firm. He is known throughout the South Bay and real estate community for his integrity and ethics. Robb actively supports numerous charities including the JMMF, Richstone Center, The South Bay Recovery Cancer Recovery Center, local schools and American Martyrs Church. He lives in Hermosa Beach with his wife, Noelle and three children, and when they aren't enjoying the surf and sun here in the South Bay, he and his family enjoy spending time together at their Lucky Man Ranch in Montana. It is with a grateful heart that the JMMF family honors Robb Stroyke with the 2023 Pure Surfing Experience Award.
