On Friday, September 22, 2023, Greenwich Hospital, alongside our devoted community, marked an incredibly memorable moment - the public launch of our $125 million Arc of Care Campaign.
Arc of Care: The Campaign for Yale New Haven Health Greenwich Hospital represents our hospital's first campaign in nearly two decades. Thank you to more than 350 friends and supporters who shared in this unforgettable celebration. The evening was filled with much joy as we looked toward the future, while also celebrating transformative progress made possible by the $65 million already raised throughout our campaign's four-year silent phase.
One of the evening's most exciting moments was the opportunity to share our campaign's name. The symbol of the arc holds tremendous meaning - representing all that we are to our community and patients, both now and for decades come.
The arc shelters our patients and envelopes them with the expertise that is found here at Greenwich Hospital. It is an arc that is local and extends more regionally, encompassing Yale School of Medicine and the innovation that is research, new technologies, and new treatments.
The semicircles that create our arc celebrate the five clinical areas that Yale New Haven Health Greenwich Hospital has substantially grown within Children's Health, Behavioral Health, Heart and Vascular, Neuroscience, and Oncology. Our plans will continue to transform the expert care available here within the communities we proudly serve.
The arc represents so much more: the arc of volunteers and philanthropists whose dedication to Greenwich Hospital hails back to our beginning and continues to this day; the arc of generations of families who have turned to us for care; and the arc of connectivity between patients and doctors, patients and nurses.
It is this connection that defines one of the most special aspects of Greenwich Hospital, which was celebrated at our campaign launch as we honored Dr. Dickerman Hollister Jr., whose 40-year career in oncology created unbreakable bonds with those he cared for.
The embrace of Greenwich Hospital by our devoted community has never felt stronger. Thank you for celebrating Arc of Care: The Campaign for Yale New Haven Health Greenwich Hospital and helping to make our plans a reality. We can only realize this level of growth in collaboration with our community, for which we are incredibly grateful.
