NDPMA Fashion Show 2023

Welcome to the Notre Dame Preparatory School and Marist Academy (NDPMA) Parents Club 25th Annual Fashion Show "Havana Nights" on March 16th, 2023! The Fashion Show has become an annual tradition where family, friends, and guests come together with the NDPMA community to share in delicious food, beautiful fashions and great company.

Every year our committee gets together during our planning session with the expressed intent to improve on the previous years' show. We focus on enhancing your experience by adding elements of uniqueness to each year's program. This year we took inspiration from the Captial City of Cuba Havana. Havana has achieved a beautiful combination of European, African and American cultures and is known for is architecture, music and history.

The Caribbean's largest and most vibrant city, Havana has become both Cuban legend and iconic Cuba. Throughout the windfalls of its tumultuous history, the people of Havana have been known to live passionately. Havana has withstood the sweeps of history with the passing of indigenous villages, pirates seeking ports and refuge, ships laden with New World gold heading to Spain, ships laden with African slaves heading to Cuban plantations, communist revolutions, and individuals seeking a Caribbean gambling mecca. It's a city of color where colonial development meets Caribbean glamour, we hope to inspire your imagination and bring this essence to our Fashion Show! 

Each year Notre Dame Prep awards more than $2.2 million in scholarships and financial aid. This includes need-based aid as well as scholarships for academic achievement, students who are involved in the fine and performing arts, leadership activities, or who are committed to community service, for example.

The administration has told the Parents Club some new and longstanding families are also facing unforeseen situations. The Parents Club is dedicated to making our community the best it can possibly be for every family. This is why proceeds from this year's event will support scholarships and financial aid.

Your tax-deductible gift will benefit hundreds of students who receive a scholarship or some form of tuition assistance. It will be pooled together with the generosity of other donors. Together, we can make sure every family knows they are valued and welcome-regardless of their ability to afford a Notre Dame education.

Fabulous Fashions Modeled by NDP Graduating Classes and their Parents.

Our "Wine Cellar Pull" gives our guests an opportunity to win a bottle of wine valued at $25 or more. You just purchase a cork pull and when you arrive the day of the event you will draw a cork from a bag, check the number on the bottom and claim your bottle of wine with the same number. You can also enter to win the grand prize by purchasing a cork pull and entry ticket. This is a fun event and everyone's a winner. 

The Fishbowl Draw is one of our signature events at the fashion show, The Fishbowl draw gives every participant an opportunity to pay one price and received a surprise item valued at that price or more. Every surprise item is associated with a number, you then draw a random number from our fishbowl and claim your prize. No one ever walks away unhappy.

Our last show's theme The Roaring Twenties (sometimes stylized as the Roarin' Twenties) referred to the decade of the 1920s in Western society and Western culture. Pop culture during the 1920s was characterized by the flapper, automobiles, nightclubs, movies, and jazz.
