We received a commitment from an anonymous donor that if we raise $25,000 in donations by the end of day on Monday, they will match it with another $25,000.
Help us reach and exceed that challenge by making a donation today! It would allow us to award an additional research grant or help fund our charitable grants or scholarship program for a year.

Help find a Cure. Change lives. Make a difference.
Research Grants
We believe that a cure for paralysis is possible. We award research grants every year to some of the brightest minds and best research facilities in the United States. A cure will most likely not come from one idea or one source, but result from a collaboration of efforts. Consequently, we provide pilot funding for ideas that otherwise may not be explored. With strong relationships with the Medical College of Wisconsin, we work hard at making sure our funds get to those researchers and ideas most deserving. Help from generous supporters can guarantee that we keep researchers focused on a cure for paralysis.
Charitable Grants
We find it very important to help individuals suffering from the devastating affects of a spinal cord injury. The financial costs associated with spinal cord injuries are extreme and many times as crippling as the injury itself. In an effort to provide some assistance, we have established charitable grants which are awarded to individuals. These grants help pay for items such as van modifications, wheelchairs and ramps.
Scholarships
Many people suffering from neurological disorders also desire desperately to go back to school. Consequently, we award scholarships both for the spring and fall semesters to individuals that are either suffering from a neurological disorder or have parents that suffer from a neurological disorder. We are elated to see people overcome very tough situations to be productive and important members of our society.
Thank you for your support.
Your donations have a profound impact:
"Spinal cord injury spares no one! It does not discriminate on the basis of age, upbringing, race, social or economic status of the individual. It could be you, it could be me. As a surgeon, my most difficult job is to deliver that news to a newly paralyzed patient from a spinal cord injury. I never get used to it. Research into spinal cord injury is critical. Research demands resources, especially financial resources. Organizations like BRPF are key to spinal cord injury research with their research grants funding "out of the box" ideas that could lead to cures.
Spinal cord injury is personal to me. Nineteen years ago, I was funded by the BRPF to develop a novel imaging technology to treat spinal cord injury patients. The work we did has resulted in over $3,000,000 in additional funding. More importantly, I recently injected stem cells, based on the technology we worked on, into a paralyzed patient who has now regained use of his hands. This is the essence of what BRPF has done. They have provided the seed funding for research that has helped researchers like us develop concepts, generate treatments, and get a young man who was paralyzed from the neck down to be able to use his hands." - Shekar N Kurpad MD PhD ,Sanford J Larson Professor, Chairman, Department of Neurological Surgery ,Co-Director, Center for Neurotrauma Researh, Director, Neuroscience Service Line Froedtert Health and The Medical College of Wisconsin
These life-altering awards are only possible through the never-ending dedication, event attendance and support of the many BRPF friends, volunteers, and donors like yourself. None of this would be attainable without your generous support. You continue to give hope to thousands of people affected by paralysis that a cure is not only possible, but within reach.

For the past 24 years, the BRPF Annual Golf Outing has been the cornerstone of our fundraising efforts and its success is essential to our mission of finding a cure and helping thousands of individuals affected by paralysis. In total close to $6 million has been raised and we are hoping to keep the momentum going this year.
