Over the past 40 years, Writers in the Schools (WITS) has been on a journey to inspire students to use their writing and voices to promote change in their educational and communal spheres. In doing so, WITS has learned what it means to be leaders and advocates of the literary arts.

Through successful programs in schools, community centers, hospitals and more, the pages of our students' own stories have come to life, providing opportunities for personal growth and the ability to see themselves in their own odyssey. WITS's mission lives on and grows year after year, inked on the pages of our great city.
