Our Annual Spirit of Hope event recognizes individuals and groups who have demonstrated an extraordinary devotion to, and understanding of, substance misuse and mental health disorders and the possibility of Recovery. The Gini and Lou Bantle Spirit of Hope Award honors those who followed in the footsteps of Gini and Lou. They were pioneers in raising awareness about the effects of substance misuse long before the subject became commonplace in the news and in our homes. It is our pleasure to honor John Bassler and First Congregational Church of Darien as the recipients of the 2023 Gini and Lou Bantle Spirit of Hope Awards.
