This amazing event started many years ago, when two of Raleigh’s movers and shakers, ASHLEY CHRISTENSEN and ELIZA KRAFT OLANDER, teamed up to start raising money for the Frankie Lemmon School. They saw the power of bringing together like-minded women with a drive to make a difference in the lives of their community. Thus, WOMEN ON A MISSION was born!
During the gals only dinner portion of the evening, Ashley will cook a memorable meal paired with wine selections from Eliza’s cellar. But this event is more than just food and wine. The real impact takes place with the conversations and friendships that spark in this room. It’s a powerful group to be a part of, a veritable assembly of “BOSS LADIES!” as Ashley would say.
After the savory courses, your significant others are invited to join the fun for dessert and after-dinner drinks. From that point on, the party really begins, and the bourbon and port start to flow!

their beautiful home to raise funds for the children and families of Frankie Lemmon.
They have put together an exciting dinner in Wrightsville Beach, teaming up with
Wilmington’s James Beard-nominated chef DEAN NEFF and HELEN KEPLINGER & DJ
WARNER of KEPLINGER WINES on AUGUST 5TH, 2023.
HELEN KEPLINGER has been crafting amazing wines for over almost two decades now.
She’s worked with some of Napa’s most iconic brands including Bryant Family, Carte
Blanche, Grace Family, Arrow & Branch, Kenzo, Paradigm, Fiddlehead Cellars and of
course her own label Keplinger. Gaining indispensable experience from Napa Elite, such
as Heidi Barrett, Kathy Joseph, Michel Rolland & David Abreu, and from her time spent in
France and Australia, Helen now stands her own in the demanding wine world and her
expertise is showcased in all the wines she produces.
DEAN NEFF calls Wilmington home, specifically SEABIRD! Dean’s creative yet accessible
approach to Eastern North Carolina cuisine with a sophisticated appreciation for
seasonality is what has earned him a place among the best of the best. Dean has built his
career around leadership and support of the Wilmington community while gaining national
attention as a culinary leader.

PAX a friend of Frankie Lemmon for the better part of 20+ years, needs no introducing. He’s best known for his game changing California Syrahs that are in a league of their own. To kick things off, Pax and Pam will be poppin’ bottles, helping you explore some of their favorite GROWER CHAMPAGNES. As the evening progresses, Pax is going to take everyone back in time to the year 2000 (his very first vintage!), guiding guests through a RETROSPECTIVE of PAX LIBRARY WINES spanning two decades. Yes, we are talking about wines cellared for 20 years! Taste for yourself how great these wines age and keep your senses refreshed with sips of champagne inbetween!
For anyone who doesn’t know ANTHONY, you’ve surely had his pizza! Not unlike wine, for Anthony, pizza is a way of life. Owner of OAKWOOD PIZZA BOX, he pays tribute to the same style of pizza he grew up eating on Friday nights in Long Island. Anthony uses whole milk cheeses, putting a low moisture mozzarella cheese on the dough first, then topping with sauce, more fresh mozzarella, and focused offering of toppings. All ingredients are fresh. There are no freezers. Everything he makes is made in the morning and used that night. Anthony takes no shortcuts, sharing that in common with Pax’s holistic approach to farming and winemaking.

Our dear friends JOE PATTERSON and 'COCKTAILS WITH KELLIE' FALK are inviting you to a tequila tasting and dinner from the comfort of their own home.
Join WILLIAM & COMPANY / LA VELADORA'S owner and mixologist, LILY BALLANCE, as she shares her passion for the nectar of agave. William & Company boasts one of the state's most impressive Latin American spirits list, including mezcal, pisco, cachaça and even Diplomático rum from Venezuela. La Veladora serves over 80 impossible-to-find varietals of mezcal, rare small-batch tequilas and obscure agave spirits like Raicilla, Bacanora and Sotol. Lily will teach everyone about the process behind creating agave spirits, from planting to growing to distilling. Lily will be using a whole host of indigenous Mexican products, showcasing their medicinal benefits.
To accompany magical mixes and spirits, indulge in the culinary genius of OSCAR DIAZ, of CORTEZ. Duck Duck Serge

Bringing to together all things duck and French, PAM SWANSTROM is hosting a fête de canard! JIM REICHARDT (better known as THE DUCK MAN!) a fourth-generation duck farmer, has been supplying the nation's best chefs with his acclaimed LIBERTY DUCKS since 1992. Ask any chef, if there's a chance to work with Jim's strain of Pekin Duck that is suited to a slower, less stressful style of rearing and therefore, makes for a larger, meatier, more flavorful product, they're pouncing at the opportunity!
Hence why our good friend SERGE FALCOZ-VIGNE is so excited! Jim and Jennifer (THE DUCK DAUGHTER) have donated plenty of duck for Serge to build a multicourse dinner around! Serge is our French connection, drawing parallels between his French heritage and his Southern home.
JENNIFER REICHARDT isn't just the COO of Liberty Ducks, she also owns her own wine label, aptly titled 'Raft'. Started in 2016 from a feeling of joy - joy of the land, of the food and wine we can produce, and of the joy we have when we share around the table. Her journey revolved around the table and the community that she shared it with. That community is her raft, keeping her afloat every step of the way. Her wines are distinctly Sonoma and pair perfectly with her family's duck!
This being a French dinner, there will of course, be FRENCH WINES! From Champagne to Burgundy to Bordeaux to Chateauneuf-du-Pape, PAM SWANTSTROM, KEN PLACE, & BRIAN MCHENRY & ELIZA KRAFT OLANDER are all contributing French selections from their cellars.

Triangle Wine & Food Experience is North Carolina's premiere wine and food event. Held annually on the first weekend in February, chefs, restaurants, wineries, and spirit brands from all over the world participate in an unmissable three-day affair that includes lavish dinners and curated tastings that culminates in a grand auction. From its humble inception 30 years ago, the Triangle Wine & Food Experience has grown to become one of the leading charity wine auctions in the nation, with all proceeds benefiting the Frankie Lemmon School & Developmental Center.
