Higgins is a friendly little Westie owned by Stephanie Jordan and sponsored by Pelican Tents and Events. When Higgins first joined his new family, he and his mom surprised his human siblings in the best way. On Fridays, after she picks the kids up from school, they usually get a Friday "treat". When she asked them if they were ready for their surprise, out popped tiny Higgins! The kids were so excited and smitten, their eyes immediately welled up with tears. Now that is one Friday treat that'll be hard to top! Higgins has been melting hearts ever since. He's never met a stranger and is a total people-pup who charms everyone he meets. Higgins is incredibly thoughtful and knows how to make you feel extra special. He loves to start his day by going outside and sitting on the back patio to greet all the neighbors and their pets that stroll by on their morning walks! He just wants to make sure everyone has a great start to their day! When Higgins isn't busy being mayor of the neighborhood, he likes to tap into his naughty side by sniffing out and digging out anything he can find in the backyard, covering his beautiful white coat in dirt and mud! He likes to say he's just trying to hunt for moles. Somebody's got to do it! But he's not fooling us. We've seen his big stash of rawhides and chewsticks. Nonetheless, you can't stay mad at him. Just look at that adorable face- and he is a Westie after all! Higgins doesn't just like to rough house with the imaginary moles in the backyard, he also plays hard with his toys, as they don't seem to last very long. His favorites are a plush turkey and Mike the Tiger. They're still around... for now... After a long day of tending to the neighbors, excavating the backyard, and playing with his toys, Higgins gets carried up to his parent's room, (yes, he's that spoiled!), and placed on the bed. And while he may start the night sleeping at their feet, slick little Higgins knows how to make his way up to the top of the bed. His mom wakes up to find Higgins on her pillow each morning!
