Aleksandr (Alek) is a happy-go-lucky Husky/German Shepherd mix owned by Ashley Williams and sponsored by Alex and Chad Souter. Alek's new mom was nervous and a little overwhelmed at the idea of getting a puppy, but when she picked him up on adoption day from the Humane Society of NWLA, he gently laid his head on her shoulder and looked up at her with his precious puppy eyes. In that moment, Ashley knew Alek was an angel on earth brought here just for her! Now Alek spends his mornings at the dog park running around and wrestling with his furry friends, and the rest of his day is spent with his mom at the office. He likes to work hard and play hard, you see! Alek's never met a stranger and greets everyone with his big, goofy signature smile. He's been fittingly coined "The Dude" and rumor is he was a hippie in another life. When Alek isn't busy teasing his cat siblings, Myles and Moo Moo, he enjoys a good beef sausage slice and loves chasing his toys around, especially his squeaky green frog. But if you're in the vicinity- Beware! Alek has a hard time stopping when he's in "full run mode", and has been known to take out trash cans, walls, doors, and even people in the process!

LennyPearl is a sweet and outgoing English Bulldog owned by Eva Sepulvado with Partnership for Pets. After losing her closest furry friend of eight years, Eva wasn't sure if she was ready to open her heart again, but her friend, Dr. Hunter, took one look at LennyPearl's adoption photo with TSR LA Baby Mommas and knew they were destined to be. LennyPearl and his potential new mom met soon after, and the rest is history! He's brought so much joy to her in just the few months they've been together. LennyPearl loves a good snuggle session, especially with his new brother, Traveler. He is obsessed with him and will snooze beside him on the dog bed any chance he gets! Saint is a lovable Dogo Argentino owned by Amanda Martin. While his mom has rescued many dogs, she had never rescued a purebred dog before, especially one of his caliber and reputation. But don't let Saint's debonair looks intimidate or fool you- He's a silly boy who's never met a stranger. Saint is a self-proclaimed "velcro dog" and has no shame in his game! He loves to be near his loved ones. When he's not annoying his older brother Bear, he enjoys rides in the car with mom, especially when they end up visiting his friends at Tony's Beverages where they treat him to some of the best beef jerky money can buy! When Saint is home, he enjoys playing with light up balls, but not as much as he enjoys visiting the neighbor's cat, Tallulah. They will sit and stare at each other through the fence forever! When Saint isn't busy flirting with Tallulah, he loves to spend time with the other woman in his life- his best friend and mom! They have a super special relationship. Since Saint is deaf, his mom has worked diligently with him over the last year and he's even learned sign language! Stumpy Joe is an assertive, self-proclaimed "Corgridor" (Corgi/Lab mix) owned by Linda and JD Crow. Following the loss of their beloved lab, Jack, Stumpy Joe's parents saw an adoption ad by the Olympic Peninsula Humane Society in Port Angeles, WA. They immediately went to see him, and it was love at first sight! It's safe to say, Stumpy Joe's overly confident greeting stole the show. Stumpy Joe is now 15, but sassier than ever. To him, age is nothing but a number! There's no doubt he's in charge, and his favorite trick is to bark at you when he wants something, especially at dinner time. Stumpy Joe may be in his senior years, but that doesn't slow him down. Turn your head for one minute and like a playful puppy, he'll steal the toilet paper, shred it, and try to eat it! When he's not busy sneaking off with a roll of TP, Stumpy Joe loves to go for a ride in the car. As the world's biggest Blue Brothers fan, (as if his snazzy hat wasn't a dead giveaway), he likes to pretend he's rolling along in the Bluesmobile "on a mission from God"! After a fun-filled day and ride in the car, Stumpy Joe like to play his favorite game "Crocodile Farm" before bed. Every night, without fail, he follows his mom around until she throws him a piece of bread. He proudly catches it and chomps down with all his might, mimicking the sound of a crocodile slamming his mouth shut! One evening, a new dog sitter called his parents to say that she knew Stumpy Joe wanted something but couldn't figure out what it was. It quickly became evident that he could not go to bed without playing his favorite game. It's Stumpy Joe's world, and we're all just living in it!

Lucy is a vivacious Terrier mix owned by Jimer and Bucky McCormick. Lucy's parents adopted her from the Humane Society of NWLA, and she's proud to make her Best in Sheaux debut following in the footsteps of her big brother, Lonnie, our 2017 winner! While she may be walking this year's Vanity Fur runway filled with glitz and glam, Lucy is a true tomboy at heart. She loves to play outdoors, swim, and most of all, chase squirrels. We're not kidding when we say she REALLY loves to chase squirrels. Up trees, up telephone poles, you name it! Lucy makes sure the squirrels get their daily steps in, to say the least! While Lucy may not be a girly girl or like to dress up, you can see that she's effortlessly chic with her beautiful, natural eyeliner. And don't let her fool you, Lucy has an incredibly soft side. One night she and her brother Lonnie went out to potty and found an abandoned baby raccoon. While her parents nursed the baby back to health and searched for help, Lucy and her new friend, Reba the raccoon, became inseparable. Reba would follow her everywhere! Lucy took her new role very seriously, teaching her little friend everything she knew. They would do all of Lucy's favorite activities together-wrestle, run, play, and even swim in the pond! For the short time they spent together, Lucy was a wonderful mentor, mom, and friend to Reba, and made many memories that she and her family will treasure for a lifetime.

Boomer is a charming Golden Retriever owned by Laura Gustavson and sponsored by Ark La Tex Therapy Dogs. Boomer's new mom desperately wanted him, but after her husband balked at the idea of adding a puppy to their already overflowing furry family, she turned on the crocodile tears and that was all she wrote! Boomer officially joined the family. He loves to spin and twirl and was actually supposed to be a show dog, but he hated it! Boomer knew in his heart what he was destined to be- a therapy dog! He is incredibly calm and loving, and always poised and ready for his therapy dog visits. Whether it be in a nursing home, library, hospital, hospice, or with children, Boomer is perceptive, adjusting to each situation, and catering to the needs of others wholeheartedly. Some of his favorite therapy visits are with his friends at the Barksdale Air Force Base. When the airmen and airwomen come inside and remove their hats, Boomer immediately collects their hats for himself, even if they've been stuffed into pockets! Boomer has never met a stranger and truly believes everyone is his best friend. Don't even think about walking by without saying hello! When Boomer isn't busy performing his therapy dog duties, he loves to show his silly side, hanging with his Aussie sister, chowing down on a delicious pizza slice, and playing with his ball. He is a retriever after all! And if Boomer's dad is ever missing one of his slippers, he knows exactly where to find it- in Boomer's mouth!

Marley is a show-stopping Great Dane owned by Lisa and John Berry and sponsored by Berry Plumbing, LLC. Marley was born on Christmas Day and was the biggest puppy of his litter. Shocking, right? Marley really is the Christmas gift that keeps on giving, as he brings so much joy to his human and furry family members. Would you believe, his best friend and sister, Pup-Pup, a yellow lab, was also born on Christmas Day? How sweet is that! While Marley may be intimidating at first glance, he is actually a gentle giant who loves kids and other dogs. Sweet Marley is such a goofy, social butterfly, he doesn't realize how big he is when he's around others. As you can imagine, making new friends can be a little tough when they are always on guard because of your stature and size! But not to worry, Marley eventually wins everyone over with his silly antics and lovable personality. Marley loves to show out and be the center of attention, especially at his favorite Mardi Gras parades. He's easy to spot for many reasons, and you can find him dressed up, proudly parading around. Just check out the mini cowboy hat and rhinestone bandana he rocked for his Best in Sheaux photoshoot! When Marley isn't busy being the life of the party, he likes to play with his toys and chow down on his favorite treat-bacon, of course. His poor toys usually don't stand a chance, as Marley enjoys pulling all the stuffing out. The same goes for all his beds and comforters- Sorry, mom! Marley's silliness has gotten him into a pickle a time or two (or three!), like the time he fell into the lake and his dad had to rescue him. Poor Marley is not the best swimmer, and the memory of his dad trying to get a 165-pound dog back on the dock will forever be etched in his family's memory! We told you Marley will make you laugh. Foxy is a precious Pomeranian mix owned by Nancy Head Starks and sponsored by Your Lead Partners LLC. Foxy was originally adopted from the shelter by George Head, Nancy's father. When Mr. Head passed away, Nancy took little Foxy in. He loved his human dad, George, so much, and the feeling was mutual. They made a great pair! While Foxy misses his best friend, he is so grateful to be with family. These days Foxy enjoys taking long walks in the neighborhood and chasing squirrels away from the bird feeder. He takes his squirrel-chasing duties very seriously! Foxy is incredibly protective and also has a habit of chasing trucks. Delivery trucks, to be exact. If you're a mailman, you better watch out! We're not sure what Foxy has against those working in distribution and transportation, but he acknowledges it's something he needs to work on, and he is improving. His name is Foxy, after all! When Foxy isn't busy giving chase, he likes to show off his best dance moves for a chance to snag one of his favorite treats-Milk-Bone brushing chews. That's because Foxy knows it's important to take care of his teeth too. He's the total package. Handsome and thoughtful! Foxy also enjoys playing with his favorite rubber hamburger. His hamburger is the only toy that has stood the test of time, as he's destroyed all others. They didn't stand a chance! It's clear, Foxy is a confident and outgoing little guy, and we don't blame him! Who wouldn't be with that big personality and luxurious fur coat?!

Mac is a playful Great Pyrenees/Shepherd mix owned by The Baudoins, Kyle, Laura, Porter, and Camille, and sponsored by L.E. & Chalk. The Baudoins only ever had retrievers in their family, but when they saw photos of Mac's litter up for adoption at the Humane Society of NWLA they knew they wanted to meet him and "get a feel for him". Little did Mac's dad know; he'd end up breaking his #1 rule- do NOT fall in love and bring a dog home after just one meeting. As you've probably figured out, Mac instantly melted his new mom and dad's hearts, and the rest was history. In fact, Mac's new human siblings were so excited and surprised by his arrival that they literally cried! For a puppy, Mac is a super observant and attentive guy. He loves to lie on the landing halfway up the stairs and keep tabs on the entire family and their activities. Mac doesn't want to miss a thing and can see almost everything from his mighty perch! And while you might think Mac is pretty laid-back for a puppy, don't let him fool you- he is sly! He takes full advantage of his height and will sneak a treat right off the table when you aren't looking. Especially any leftover breakfast. He can't help it- It's his favorite meal of the day! Mac is also quick to sneak away with a toy. Most particularly ones that are off limits, like the stuffed animals on his sister's bed! But Mac is so lovable, you can't stay mad at him for long, and he knows how to make up for it. In the mornings he will bound up the stairs, straight into each of his human siblings' beds, and lick their faces until they wake up! After all that, how could you not forgive him and start your day with a smile?!

Cheetos is a flaming hot Chesapeake/Lab mix currently searching for his fur-ever home and sponsored by the Humane Society of Northwest Louisiana. Cheetos has had some up-and-downs in life. He was bred and sold to his first owner who ultimately moved away without him. Thankfully, he ended up with the wonderful folks at the Humane Society of Northwest Louisiana but sadly he has been there waiting on his turn to be adopted for almost an entire year now. But, sweet Cheetos has not let that discourage him or get him down. Despite what he's been through, he's filled with joie de vivre and knows the world is his oyster! Cheetos is a big love bug, who enjoys a good snuggle sesh and just wants to be near you. And when we say big, we mean BIG. He's a handsome boy at a whopping 100 pounds! Cheetos loves hanging out with the other dogs at the rescue, but he never gets to play with them for long because they all get adopted. His closest friends are the Humane Society of NWLA's volunteers. It makes Cheetos so happy to see the volunteers every day! They run and play with him, and best of all- they give his fabulous coat a good brushing. Oh, how Cheetos loves to be brushed! He keeps the volunteers laughing with his antics, but also on their toes, like the time he ate a rope toy and they had to rush him to the emergency vet! Oy vey! Cheetos LOVES toys, and if you think you've found a toy that can stand the Cheetos Test, you're probably wrong! His favorite trick is to test out "indestructible" toys and report back to the company that they are in fact, NOT indestructible. As you can imagine, this has gotten Cheetos and the Humane Society of NWLA a lot of refunds and a lot of new toys to test out. When Cheetos isn't busy researching the durability of toys, he loves to play fetch and go for a swim. He may be a robust guy, but he floats well! Cheetos hopes to one day have a family of his own to share his toys, time, and snuggles with. What better place to try than the Best In Sheaux runway?!

Samson is a regal Great Pyrenees owned by Holly Roca. Samson was found abandoned behind a Walmart as a puppy, all skin and bones! As you can imagine, because he's a full-blooded Great Pyrenees there was quite a bit of competition to adopt him, but the second his rescuer saw Samson and Holly together, she knew they were destined to be. Samson and his new mom instantly bonded and have been in sync and inseparable ever since! For a big boy, Samson is incredibly conscientious and perceptive of others' emotions. Even when he gets super excited, he's always sure to jump up toward the sky instead of directly onto a person. He's a thoughtful guy! And just what excites Samson more than anything? Going for a walk to Lowder's Bakery, of course! He fully expects to go daily where he knows he'll be fawned over and filled with treats and praise. Samson also loves his daily trips to the dog park. His effortlessly cool demeanor has made him a lot of friends, furry and human. People can't help but stare and smile when he passes by. He's gorgeous and he knows it! But beware, well-mannered Samson has a stubborn side. He's known to do things on his own terms- when he's ready, and only then! When it comes time to leave the dog park, he'll sit JUST outside of mom's reach. What a little booger! Don't ever tell Samson, but his mom low-key respects this headstrong part of him. How could she not? When Samson's sensitive side comes out though, it truly is a treat. For an independent pup rescued from a tough situation, it took a while for him to be trusting. After eight months of patiently waiting, Samson finally became comfortable enough to lay his head in his mom's lap and it was a moment she will never forget. She knew exactly what he was trying to tell her. Now she treasures those small, quiet moments with Samson more than anything!

Dolly is a fussbudgety Boston Terrier owned by Lauren Ross and Derek Simmons, and sponsored by C&C Mercantile and Lighting. The Simmons family welcomed their new addition, Dolly, after deciding their home needed a little extra love. Their other dog, Hedy Lamarr, (diva and former Best In Sheaux contestant), is a "one human only" kind of gal. The family felt they needed a sweet and doting pup to add to the mix. Best-laid plans as they say... Joke's on them! Dolly is just as persnickety as her sister Hedy and has been keeping everyone on their toes since her arrival. As you've probably figured out by now, Dolly is nothing like her namesake, Ms. Parton. Elizabeth Taylor may have been a more fitting name for Dolly since she is so high-maintenance she could even out-diva royalty! Dolly spends most days being the belle of the ball at the studio, but she's certainly not there to work. While her sister, Hedy, takes her role at C&C very seriously, greeting every customer with a sniff and a smile, don't even THINK about approaching or petting Dolly. She's not there for your entertainment and she's going to make sure you know it with the most intimidating bark her petite little frame can muster. Dolly's there to be adorable and ignore you. She's also there to remind her sister of who's really the boss, harassing Hedy by biting at her floofy butt tufts any chance she gets. After tormenting her sister and accosting customers, Dolly likes to leave a little "present" under the manager's desk. She doesn't want anyone at the studio to feel left out. It's called balance. Speaking of balance, even the decor isn't safe from Dolly's antics. One piece, in particular, has felt Dolly's wrath the most. If you've ever wondered why the big bear skin rug now hangs on the wall at C&C Mercantile instead of on the floor, you can thank Dolly for that. And while Dolly may sometimes drive her family nuts, even stealing chicken nuggets from the kids when they're not looking, she does have her sweeter moments. When her youngest human sibling is napping on the couch, Dolly will creep up and cuddle with her on her head. It's a precious moment, even if they're short snuggles that ultimately end in tears!

Higgins is a friendly little Westie owned by Stephanie Jordan and sponsored by Pelican Tents and Events. When Higgins first joined his new family, he and his mom surprised his human siblings in the best way. On Fridays, after she picks the kids up from school, they usually get a Friday "treat". When she asked them if they were ready for their surprise, out popped tiny Higgins! The kids were so excited and smitten, their eyes immediately welled up with tears. Now that is one Friday treat that'll be hard to top! Higgins has been melting hearts ever since. He's never met a stranger and is a total people-pup who charms everyone he meets. Higgins is incredibly thoughtful and knows how to make you feel extra special. He loves to start his day by going outside and sitting on the back patio to greet all the neighbors and their pets that stroll by on their morning walks! He just wants to make sure everyone has a great start to their day! When Higgins isn't busy being mayor of the neighborhood, he likes to tap into his naughty side by sniffing out and digging out anything he can find in the backyard, covering his beautiful white coat in dirt and mud! He likes to say he's just trying to hunt for moles. Somebody's got to do it! But he's not fooling us. We've seen his big stash of rawhides and chewsticks. Nonetheless, you can't stay mad at him. Just look at that adorable face- and he is a Westie after all! Higgins doesn't just like to rough house with the imaginary moles in the backyard, he also plays hard with his toys, as they don't seem to last very long. His favorites are a plush turkey and Mike the Tiger. They're still around... for now... After a long day of tending to the neighbors, excavating the backyard, and playing with his toys, Higgins gets carried up to his parent's room, (yes, he's that spoiled!), and placed on the bed. And while he may start the night sleeping at their feet, slick little Higgins knows how to make his way up to the top of the bed. His mom wakes up to find Higgins on her pillow each morning!

This trip is an action-packed adventure for four hunters in the San Luis province of Argentina. You will hunt for Red Stag, Argentine Water Buffalo, Blackbuck, and more. Hunt tens of thousands of acres for multiple big game species with your Gaucho guide.
You'll enjoy 5-star lodging with all the amenities of a home, including gourmet meals, local wine and beer, Wi-Fi, and more. You can schedule this trip for 2023, 2024, or 2025 Argentina hunting seasons.
Big Game Hunting:
A typical day will begin with a full breakfast, a trip into the field to hunt, a relaxing lunch back at the lodge, a siesta, and another afternoon big-game hunting experience. The day ends with cocktails, wine, appetizers, and dinner with courses inspired by the local Argentine culture with fresh venison, chicken, beef, and vegetables and local desserts such as Crème caramel and Dulce de leche. The winning bidder is responsible for the cost of all trophy fees.
Accommodation in San Luis:Enjoy a 4-night stay in a hunting estancia in two double rooms (one queen or two double beds) and an En-Suite bathroom. Savor local-inspired gourmet meals, superb Argentine wine, and local beer in the main dining area. Then, relax in the living room and share stories about your successful day of hunting. Hunt tens of thousands of acres of prime Argentine ranchlands and farmland for up to 10 plus species of Big Game animals. The most popular time to hunt is March through the end of July when temperatures are cooler. However, since Argentina is below the equator, the seasons are opposite of those in the United States.
Additional Information:Travel must take place within three years from the date of purchase. Reservations are subject to availability. Hunting trips must be booked with the outfitter within 60-days for the 2023, 2024, or 2025 hunting seasons, as dates and availability go fast. Children as young as 10 who have taken a hunter safety course can hunt with a parent.
A nonrefundable deposit of $1,500 100% towards each hunter's trophy fees for animals harvested at the end of the hunting trip. Each hunter must harvest at least two animals per trophy fee price sheet. Non-hunting observers can join the journey at $1,250 per person.
