While participating in off-campus events held or sponsored by the UConn Foundation, participants are expected to comply with CDC and local health guidelines such as practicing hand hygiene, "social distancing," and wearing face coverings (where required) to reduce the risks of exposure to COVID-19. Because COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is spread mainly from person-to-person contact, the UConn Foundation cannot guarantee that its participants, volunteers, vendors, or others in attendance will not become infected with COVID-19.
Acknowledgement of Risk and Release of Claims: Auction donors and participants acknowledge and agree that by voluntarily participating in the 30th Annual Public Law Group Auction and successfully bidding on and accepting any goods or services, the participants accept any and all risks related to such goods and services (including, without limitation, risks related to travel, food consumption, and contact with other participants), accept all liability related to these risks and the goods and services purchased, and agree to indemnify and hold harmless the University of Connecticut and The University of Connecticut Foundation, Inc., their officers, directors, trustees, employees, and agents from any and all liability, demands, claims and/or actions that may arise from injury, illness, permanent disability, death or other harm related to the goods and services by whatever cause including, without limitation, illness or infection due to COVID-19. All sales are final and binding.
