Our Year in review

In 2022 we had a team run the LA Big 5k as part of the Los Angeles Marathon, had our annual piano recitals and continued supporting patients with our groups and other programs for families and individuals affected by IBD. We also participated in conferences, and continued raising awareness about Crohn's and colitis and advocating on behalf of people living with these chronic illnesses. We need your support and we hope you will consider contributing to our 2022 campaign. We also have a fantastic silent auction. You have allowed us to continue our mission to fund cutting edge research, and support our community of patients and families during this very difficult time. Chronic illnesses like Crohn's and colitis don't take a break and neither do we. Please support us by bidding and/or making a donation to our 2022 campaign.

Though there are other charities for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, we have created a unique niche specific to bringing the IBD community together in a grassroots way. With a focus on caregivers and their families, we have created a community of support for those coping with these chronic illnesses, while raising much needed funds for research. The benefits of our efforts are spread amongst IBD related organizations.

The proceeds of our efforts benefit The Susan and Leonard Feinstein IBD Clinical Center at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Program at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, The Inflammatory Bowel Disease Program at The Mayo Clinic, The Painted Turtle Camp in Lake Hughes, California which is a summer camp for kids with IBD, and families struggling with costs related to their child's IBD at Children's Hospital Los Angeles. (CHLA).

We fund research that impacts the lifecycle of the disease, and endeavors to gain a better understanding of why the disease develops in children and adults. We are also committed to research that focuses on prevention strategies, especially in high-risk individuals.

We are a proud sponsor of the Painted Turtle camp in Lake Hughes, California for kids and teens, ages 7 to 16, with IBD. Campers and their families attend free of charge. We also offer two monthly support groups, one for patients and one for caregivers, family members and anyone involved in the care of an IBD patient.
