• Did you know that the campus of The Cottage School sits on the highest point in Roswell?

This waypoint was a well-known navigational tool used by pilots. For the last 37 years, TCS has served in this same capacity, operating as a beacon of light and hope to families of children with learning differences. With the inaugural event, "We Light Up the Night", The Cottage School will establish itself as a lighthouse to the larger community as well.

  • What should I expect?

This free "commUnity" event featuring a virtual scavenger hunt and laser light show will take place 5:30 - 7:30 pm, November 5, 2022, on the TCS campus. Attendees will walk through illuminated TCS pathways on a virtual scavenger hunt. Treasures will be in the form of audio messages from commUnity leaders about the school, its history, and the greater community.  All of this is done utilizing GPS tracking technology via a downloadable application right to your smartphone!

  • Is there a cost to attend?

The event is free to attend, however, participants can purchase lanterns to guide them through the scavenger hunt and t-shirts to show support as they participate in various activities, including a collaborative art project. With a professional light show, free food, community business participation, and music, we anticipate a de-"light"-ful evening. Importantly, The Cottage School will share the light and the love with two other brilliant organizations by gifting a portion of event proceeds to the local food pantry, Solidarity Sandy Springs, and the Atlanta Ronald McDonald House.

  • Are you looking for sponsors?

This event requires "Lighthouse Keepers" - people and businesses in our community who care for and tend to the lighthouse. We encourage and appreciate sponsors aka Lighthouse Keepers. As a keeper of the flame, you will help ensure the light continues to shine for those who need it most through your support of this commUnity building celebration. We can't wait to light up the night with you!
