The Midwives-PAC solicits funds only from ACNM members and staff. Contributions to Midwives-PAC are not tax deductible for any purpose. The amount given by the contributor, or the refusal to give, will not benefit or disadvantage the member being solicited. Federal law requires political committees to use their best effort to obtain and report the name, mailing address, occupation and name of employer for each individual whose contribution aggregate in excess of $200 in a calendar year. Under federal law, the Midwives-PAC "restrictive class" may only use personal donations to financially support federal candidates, federal PACs, or national party committees. Corporate and non-member donations will help support the direct costs of operating the Midwives-PAC.
