The 11th annual "Grit, Gratitude & You" is a celebration of our positive impact on local youth. Join us Thursday, October 27 at Windows on the River for breakfast and a lively conversation with David Gilbert, 2022 Del de Windt Leadership Award for Civic Engagement honoree, and moderator Dan Moulthrop, CEO of The City Club of Cleveland.

First Tee - Cleveland is celebrating nearly 20 years of providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf. In 2022, our chapter will serve more than 2,500 kids and teens ages 6-18 through our program locations and community partners, plus more than 8,000 students through our School Program.

We're especially excited about our new partnership with Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD). Over the next three years, all 66 K-8 schools will have the First Tee program as part of their Physical Education class. Plus, students will enjoy golf course field trips and family engagement activities.

Grit, Gratitude & You will also feature:

  • Doris A. Evans, M.D. Merit Scholarship presented to Angelica Catacutan, Senior at Magnificat High School
  • An interactive panel of First Tee Alumni
  • A vision of impact from CMSD's Executive Director of Health, Physical Education, Interscholastic Athletics & Student Activities -- Desiree Powell
  • Special vocals by NiQuita Baker, Manager of Fiscal & Athletic Operations, CMSD

Participant fees contribute only 7% of the annual revenue necessary to deliver our impactful programs. Please help us reach more kids in need of social, emotional and physical support.
