As a community leader in emergency preparedness and response, the Red Cross is proud to present the Acts of Courage Awards to residents of Trumbull, Mahoning, and Columbiana Counties who have acted courageously and selflessly in a time of emergency.

Because of their heroism, lives were saved, and tragedies were averted. Their actions embody the ideals, principles and purpose of the Red Cross: to prepare for and respond to disasters.

This years 2022 Spirit of the Red Cross Award Recipient!

Simon Roofing has remained a family-owned company for more than 120 years. It is now managed by third and fourth-generation members of the Simon and Vross families. The lifelong residents of the Mahoning Valley are committed to making a positive impact within the community and to helping improve the lives of others. Many of Simon Roofing's employees share the same belief and donate their time, talents, and treasure to local charities and civic organizations.

"They embody the mission of our organization, and we are proud to present them with the Spirit of The Red Cross Award."

In addition to the Red Cross, Simon Roofing supports numerous charities in the Mahoning Valley, including Potential Development Schools for Students with Autism, United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley, Project MKC, Children's Rehabilitation Center, Yellow Brick Place, The Rich Center for Autism, and Akron Children's Hospital of the Mahoning Valley.
