Science, Coding and Exploring SDGs at RYC

Let's Work Together

This year's Renaissance Youth Center GALA is a celebration of the work we are doing for our Let's Work Together campaign. This initiative addresses the United Nation's 17 Sustainable Development Goals or SDGs. Our summer tour features talented young musicians, scientists, coders, engineers, and other community-minded youth from various communities. This tour challenges youths and youth programs across parts of the USA to partner up to focus on one or more of the 17 SDGs.

Along with a performance by the Music with a Message band, learn more about the RYC and the Let's Work Together initiative. Bid on goods, services and vacation stays. Say hello to old friends and meet new ones, all dedicated to the RYC mission. Drinks and lIght appetizers will be served.

 Our 2023 Honorees

This year's honorees are members of the Broadcom Community, and major supporters of Renaissance Youth Center. We are grateful for their diverse and generous contributions and look forward to honoring them at our 2023 Gala.

Paula Golden
President of the Broadcom Foundation

As president of the Broadcom Foundation, Paula Golden initiates innovative partnerships with community organizations that share the foundation's commitment to equitable access to STEM education and digital literacy for girls, under-resourced and underrepresented youth, so that all young people have the 21st century+ tools they need to compete for highly skilled jobs in emerging industries built on technologies of the future. To achieve this, she has redirected foundation programs to focus on coding and sustainability.

Michael Melillo
Senior Director of Network Management Products Agile Operations Division, Broadcom Software

Thanks to Michael Melillo we are able to provide coding programs at the center. Michael's passion is to bring human-centered design and decision making to sustainable businesses. Over the last several years he has brought his energy and expertise to Renaissance by being a constant supporter of our Code the Bronx and robotics programs, and inspiring our kids to explore technology and pursue future careers in these fields.
