Our Mission
The Mission of American Red Cross is to prevent and alleviate human suffering by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.
The American Red Cross of Georgia is proud to present the inaugural Coastal Golf Classic to fund service delivery across all lines of service in the Southeast Georgia Chapter. The Chapter serves 18 counties in Southeast and Coastal Georgia.
Founded in 1914, the Red Cross of Georgia:
- Helps families prepare for and respond in emergencies
- Collects and distributes blood to hospitals
- Delivers emergency messages for military and international families in crisis
- Trains individuals in lifesaving skills
In FY20, Red Cross of Georgia:
- Responded to more than 2,500 home fires and installed 5,100 smoke alarms
- Collected over 192,000 units of blood
- Provided over 26,500 services to military family members and veterans
- Trained over 34,000 people in First Aid/CPR/AED courses
