Dear Toy Closet Program Donor,

This year 2026 has subjected everyone to constant change and adjustment. There have been changes at Yale New Haven Children's Hospital and its related Specialty Centers in how they function but not in how well they treat our pediatric patients, particularly the Toy Closet Program. The one constant in the world is the smile on a child's face when they receive a new toy.

This year the Toy Closet Program supplied more than 350,000 toys to locations in Hospitals, Emergency Departments and Pediatric Clinics from New London to Greenwich, many which have multiple pediatric departments.

We usually can meet the requests for toys due to the commitment of a generous, caring Community.
But this year we have not seen the same level of generosity in toy donations or monetary donations. We believe economics are causing people to be more cautious in their spending.

So, we are sending this letter of appeal to those who offered to donate more toys during the year.
