For the last 23 years, WPTV News Channel 5 Chief Meteorologist Steve Weagle has been making his Ride for the Red Cross to mark the beginning of hurricane season and to raise awareness of the Red Cross in the community. This year, Steve will be back on the road for his 24th annual ride on May 16-20!
This year's goal is to raise $100,000 to benefit the American Red Cross Palm Beach & Treasure Coast Chapter and Florida Gulf Coast to Heartland Chapter. Additionally, Steve's Ride aims to educate residents on hurricane preparedness while raising critical funds for the region.
