Our 6th Annual Glitter Gala is moving to October 1st, 2022, at an all-new venue - The Tech Interactive in San Jose, CA! We have some amazing surprises in store for you this coming year, and we can hardly wait!

This past year, we shared a message of hope as we heard from Dr. Nick Vitanza, sharing some of the amazing breakthroughs that are happening now for our youngest warriors. Dr. Vitanza also shared how important and unique Unravel Funding is to his research.
"We are making progress. With pediatric brain tumors, I think within the next 10 years we are going to be curing diseases like DIPG that haven't had a cure since they were first described. It's impossible to overstate how much you all matter to pediatric research. Unravel is filling the gaps and supporting this work and progress."

This year, Dr. Vitanza will be back to share what progress and opportunities the $645,000 in funds that Unravel was able to give his lab in 2021, because of your support! We are also so excited to introduce a new researcher and beneficiary to Unravel this year, Dr. David R. Freyer, DO, MS - Professor of Clinical Pediatrics, Medicine, and Population and Public Health Sciences at USC.
We are so excited to announce that just like last year, no matter where you live, you can participate in the Glitter Gala!! Our Silent Auction items will be available for everyone to bid on! For winners who are not present, local pickup is available in the South Bay, or we will be happy to ship anywhere at cost.
We like to call Jennifer our perfectly imperfect little girl... a wonderful mix of salty and sweet. Her big brown eyes with the longest eyelashes had a near-professional eye rollability. She was kind. Silly. Bold... She loved to make people laugh and could make you feel like she was your very best friend.
Sissy Miss was one, among many, of her nicknames, because the thing she most cherished in this world was being a big sister. She was always so excited to hear we were having another baby. Always the first to hold the baby or change a diaper? She is a natural-born mother who never got that chance. The world lost out on the children she would have raised. I always tell people I only potty trained one child, because she handled the rest!
We lover her. We miss her.

Unravel is a 501 (c)(3) focused on accelerating innovative pediatric cancer research to help researchers develop better and more targeted therapies. There are no early detection tests for pediatric cancer patients and less than 4% of all federal funding for cancer research is directed towards pediatric cancer. Many of the therapies we currently give our children to treat their cancers were developed for adults. Adult and childhood cancers develop and progress differently. Our youngest cancer warriors are in need of new therapies to help children not only survive cancer, but live long and healthy lives afterwards.
