Enjoy old-fashioned southern hospitality and experience first-hand the incredible history of Saint Mary's at The Federal Quarters. A charming Southern Antebellum home complete with modern comforts and rich historical touches, including many original pieces. The Federal Quarters is the premier Saint Mary's destination for comfort, relaxation, and/or adventure. Built in 1801, this house is where the Vice President of the United States, Aaron Burr, stayed while fleeing arrest after his infamous duel with Alexander Hamilton in 1804. Now 220 years old, the house is the oldest residence still standing in St. Mary's.

Sleep soundly and awake in one of the three suites: The Aaron Burr Suite, the Winfield Scott Suite, and the Alexander Hamilton Suite with ensuite bath, bidet, and shower. Enjoy breakfast in the cozy nook overlooking the side yard. Bask in the sunroom, or bathe in the clawfoot tub. Sit down to 400+ books in the library and/or work in the Guest Office. Kids love to play and nap in the "Harry Potter Room" tucked under the stairway. Enjoy the rich local history, coastal attractions, and quiet splendor of St. Mary's and The Federal Quarters.

*Subject to availability. Valid January - March, July - August, and December. Certificate expires 9 months after event date. Guests must be able to use stairs to access bedrooms on second floor. Lease agreement and loss/damage insurance payment of $99 is required.
