This is a chevron afghan crocheted by my mother, Mildred Kohl, who passed in 1991, at age 81, after living for five years with Alzheimer's. The progression of the disease is visible in her work. Her tension loosened and her stitch count was lost as the disease continued. She lived with my husband and me in Mt Vernon - Audrey Christenson
