Energy Fin Twit FBO America's Mighty Warriors

Energy FinTwit or EFT is a disparate group of energy industry professionals - upstream, midstream, downstream, corporate, independents, oil field services, bankers, private equity, consultants, commodity traders, etc., who have come together to form a group with a common goal of calling out misdeeds and missteps in the industry and our love of the art of the meme.

Last year EFT sponsored a Christmas fundraiser and raised $187K for Oilfield Helping hands through individual donations and matching funds. That number is going to be hard to beat, but we are going to try our best to exceed it.

This year we have selected to support America's Mighty Warriors, which was started by Debbie Lee, the mother of Marc Lee, the first Navy Seal killed in Iraq. America is a wonderful country, but some of our Veterans have fallen through the cracks. It is our turn to support those who have made huge sacrifices to secure our freedom and our country.

Covid has hit the world hard. AMW had to cancel all their events last year, and yet the need for their services is at an all-time high. With anxiety levels escalating, many Veterans need support in dealing with PTSD, transitioning back to the real world, as well as help in just making ends meet. In addition, in honoring Marc Lee and his last letter home encouraging random acts of kindness, some of our donations will be used to spread love and joy to those in need. We have asked that some of our donations be specifically used to pay for utilities, gasoline, and transportation costs as energy costs seem to be on and upward trend which could make budgets even tighter throughout the winter.

This year we are using an online donation and auction format. Donors will be picked at random to receive swag, gift cards, and other items. Auction items will go live on Tuesday mornings at 10 am CST through Friday evenings at 10 pm CST, each week starting December 7th through the end of the year.

We are hoping this will be a fun and interactive experience and will spread joy and cheer to all who participate!
