Access Institute is pleased to honor award winning singer and actress, Sheryl Lee Ralph and esteemed Senator Vincent Hughes, two individuals who have made advocacy for the health and mental well-being of vulnerable communities core to their work, both individually and as a couple. Married for nearly 20 years, the couple connected early through their shared commitment to championing positive change, particularly for the Black community, for low-income people, people with HIV/AIDS and other marginalized groups.
At Access Institute we have shared the same passion (also for the past 20 years) to advocate for and serve those who our society and our healthcare system has left out in the cold. Please join us at Spectrum on March 16th, 2023 where we will join forces with Sheryl Lee Ralph and Vincent Hughes to foster the healing and renewal of our community. It will be a night to remember!
Access Institute ensures that Bay Area residents of all ages have access to comprehensive mental health care. We provide life-saving treatments to people who have nowhere else to turn, helping them onto a healing path. In the past two-years, our work has become ever more vital as we've provided essential support for those most impacted by the isolation, disruption and distress brought on by the COVID-19 Pandemic.
On Thursday March 16th, over 350 community members, civic leaders, artists, mental health professionals, and honored guests will come together on the beautiful San Francisco waterfront for a transformative evening featuring art, live and silent auctions, fine wine and gourmet food - all with the goal of raising major funding to support the psychological health and well-being of our community.
In response to the ongoing challenge of recovering all the impacts of COVID-19, we've chosen the 2023 event theme: "Healing and Renewal".
After the trauma of the last few years we all need time, space and support to heal. We need to heal as individuals and as a community. Healing is a process we best accomplish together. We also know that recovery is not about returning to past "normal" but, rather, it offers new opportunities for learning and growth. Individually and collectively, it's a chance for renewal. We hope you will join us as we celebrate our strength, heal together and renew our mental health.
For more than 20 years, Spectrum has featured an outstanding art auction featuring works donated by dozens of emerging and established artists all of whom contribute because they care about supporting the mental wellness of their community. We are so grateful to all of our participating artists!
Please join us in supporting the vital work we are doing, and contribute to Healing and Renewal. Save the date and check back here often for more event details. [email protected]
