This event is to support Catholic education in West Tennessee, with St. Mary's School and Sacred Heart of Jesus High School benefitting from the proceeds. Established in 1878, St. Mary's has always prided itself on its authentically Catholic education in the Dominican tradition. The school offers an education that benefits the whole child - mind, body, and spirit. With its classical-based curriculum, fine arts, and athletics St. Mary's students are set apart from others while placing them on a path of life-long success. Continuing the Catholic tradition is Sacred Heart of Jesus High School.

Founded in 2004, Sacred Heart is a vibrant, growing, Catholic liberal arts academy with a strong college preparatory curriculum. With a mission to educate outstanding young men and women through the principles of "Religion, Reason, and Loving Kindness", Sacred Heart is growing rapidly and has experienced enrollment gains each year since its inception. SHJ serves a diverse population of students, the majority of which receive some form of assistance to attend. Events such as Oktoberfest support the operational costs of the school not covered by tuition.
