Parker Thornton is an artist, writer, and professor who lives and works in Atlanta, GA. She earned her BA in English Literature and Studio Art from Oglethorpe University in 2013 and her MFA in Photography from Georgia State University in 2020. Her practice includes sculpture, photo/video, and writing. She has exhibited work internationally at Whitespace, Historic Oakland Cemetery, and National Centre for Contemporary Art in Belarus, with solo shows in Florida and Atlanta. Parker has been an artist-in-residence at Hambidge Center for Creative Arts and Sciences (2021) and Burren College of Art in Ballyvaughan, Ireland (2019). In 2019 she was granted a scholarship to attend Anderson Ranch Art and won "Best in Show" at Day and Night Projects (Atlanta, GA).
