Eilis Crean is a contemporary American Irish artist whose drawings and paintings reference the nature of time - cyclical and paused, geological and momentary, lost and seized, contemplative and purchased. Through diverse subject matter Ð forgotten landscapes, essential workers, remembered gatherings, her art connects with ideas of loss and celebration. She is a graduate of the NCAD, Dublin, Ireland Ð BFA; and GSU, Atlanta Ð MFA, and exhibits nationally and internationally. Her work is held in public and private collections. Crean is based in Carrollton, near Atlanta, Georgia, and divides her studio time between Ireland and the USA.. She is Professor of Art in the Department of Art, History, and Philosophy, at University of West Georgia.
