About the Event

The Larry A. Pogofsky All-Star Challenge historically features a celebrity softball game, home run derby, and kids' baseball clinic with Chicago's biggest sports legends. This year's event is moving to "the greens." Golfers will enjoy 18-holes with a celebrity*, grilled lunch and cocktails along the course, a 19th-Hole Reception with cocktails & heavy appetizers, and more. The All-Star Challenge kicks-of with a VIP Dinner & Pairings Auction on Sunday, September 26th, where guests will mingle with celebrities and bid on a star who will join their golf foursome.

Larry A. Pogofsky was a die-hard baseball fan who was also passionate about healthcare research thanks to a life-changing experience at the University of Chicago Medicine Digestive Diseases Center. The GI Research Foundation is proud to present the All-Star Challenge, honoring Larry's love for sports and continuing his legacy of funding important medical research.
