A Fundraiser Benefitting youthSpark
Planning is underway for the Movers, Shakers & Changemakers 5th Annual fundraising event in October 2021 where we will, once again, make a difference for youth who experience abuse and exploitation. In honor of our 20th Anniversary, this event promises to be an extraordinary occasion for sponsors and guests to show their support for youthSpark's work on behalf of Atlanta's most vulnerable young people, as well as an opportunity to build brand awareness by connecting with some of Atlanta's most influential civic, business, and community leaders.
With over 500 individuals in attendance since our launch in 2015, this year's event promises to be an outstanding opportunity for sponsors to not only help fund a critically important mission but also gain exposure to top influencers in metro Atlanta. This is a hybrid event, streaming virtually with socially distant seating available for an in-person event experience.

The Amazing Success of 2020 Was Truly Remarkable Despite the Challenges
youthSpark's mission is "to provide cutting edge services, education, and advocacy to combat youth trafficking, exploitation, and abuse." While our core work has always centered on ending child sex trafficking, we have since become a haven where at-risk youth who have suffered abuse, neglect, and trauma can find the legal and social support they need to begin down a positive path. In 2016, as a part of our work and to extend our services, we opened our Youth Services Center-based inside the Fulton County Juvenile Court. Our goal is to make a positive impact on vulnerable youth. We do this by providing holistic youth services, engaging in meaningful research projects, and offering community training and advocacy to inform systematic change across Atlanta and Georgia.
While the cornerstone of our work is the Youth Services Center, our research efforts have helped us remain a thought-leader through our long-running commitment to creating evidence-based interventions. For over a decade, we have scientifically researched the root causes of abuse and exploitation to achieve positive impacts above and beyond who we touch daily. Community education and awareness are also central to our mission as we educate the greater Atlanta community and individuals who work with trauma-exposed youth to not only increase awareness and understanding of child abuse and trafficking but also to protect our youth from future exploitation.
Event Safety Information
The health and safety of our guests and team remain our top priority. Safety guidelines are based on the recommendations and guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
