We are thrilled to welcome Steve and Shelley Black as our Honorary Chairs for Brunch and Bubbles 2024!
Steve and Shelley are incredibly honored and deeply grateful to have been selected as the Honorary Chairs for this year's Gulf Coast Kids House's Brunch & Bubbles event. They have long been advocates for children's welfare, supporting various local charities and establishing their own 501c(3) organization to provide meals for underprivileged children in the local community.
More about this year's Honorary Chairs...
Steve and Shelley met on a blind date in late January of 1988 and swiftly moved from engagement to marriage within a year. Their journey together, spanning 35 years, has been marked by both joys and challenges. Blessed with two wonderful children who have also married their lifelong companions, the six of them cherish their shared experiences and adventures together. Steve, a graduate in Agronomy from the University of Florida, founded Green Procedures Inc. in 1986, designing the many notable landscapes throughout the Gulf Coast as well as maintaining various prestigious properties for nearly four decades. Meanwhile, Shelley, a former theatrical dancer, established a high school dance team and opened multiple retail outlets before focusing on her passion for art, creating and selling works showcased in numerous establishments throughout the U.S. The couple's aspiration to work side by side materialized during the economic downturn of 2009, leading Shelley to join Steve as CEO of Green Procedures Inc., where they diligently preserved their business. In 2017, they founded the Bread & Table Club, a 501c(3) organization reimagining the Supper Club by uniting food enthusiasts in unique venues to raise funds for the Children's Backpack Program, ultimately contributing over $100,000 in the past 6 years. With a budding chapter planned for Baldwin County in 2025, Shelley and Steve embody a commitment to serving their community. They serve as esteemed local Ambassadors for the widely popular VIP Pensacola Magazine and also host the VIP Live Edition monthly on Blab TV. Steve contributes to the magazine through his monthly column, Green Perspectives, as a writer. They view themselves as exceptionally fortunate and do not overlook any moment they share together. Their earnest hope is that God will use them each day as instruments to bring blessings to others, eagerly anticipating the unveiling of God's plan!
